Matt's are the only Tweets I have sent to my phone (via text, I mean). It just brightens any day when he Tweets, and this was just especially lovely!!

I actually don't know if anyone else calls him Matty, I can imagine some of his friends do. I'm just taking my cue from Tim, lol :D

LOL I can totally go along with that! And I mean, really, who better than Tim to follow in that sense? ;-) (Well, okay, maybe Simon, but he doesn't say things like that in public! LOL!!) Besides, "Matty" just fits him!! :-D

I always loved the idea of calling Matt "beautiful". Like "Hey there, beautiful"... I hope someone does that on a regular basis, hee :D

Well, YEAH. If no one does, someone should definitely *start*! LOL!! I mean, geeeeeez, he defies all "normal" limits on beauty, seriously!!

Pretty soon after I started watching White Collar on a regular basis, I started to call Matt "Matty". And I haven't read or heard any message from Tim calling him so before. But it fits him so well, I'll never ever stop it.

Hee! I think it fits him, too! I know Tim called him that on the commentary for one of the DVDs (maybe S1, but don't quote me on that), and I think I've heard/read him using it elsewhere, but I've watched/read so many things in the last year, I couldn't begin to tell you where "else" it was. I think it's totally adorable. I just wondered how/when it got started, since I wasn't around the fandom "back then" ;-)

Pretty sure Tim tweeted a while ago some congrats to his "buddy Matty B." or something of that nature. ;)

Yeah, it seems to be what he likes to be called. I've seen lots of others calling him that on social media and in interviews, and he even calls himself Matty on occasion (2011 Access Hollywood interview, for instance). :)

I love it, honestly. I just think it fits him, and it somehow makes him seem even more cuddle-able (if that's possible!). And I know I've watched that interview, but didn't remember that. Gee, guess I'll have to watch it again ;-)

Exactly - it suits him so well. And of course, any excuse of a rewatch is a good one. ;)

LOL! I mainly remembered that it was this interview because I remembered Billy Bush trying on Matty's glasses (and proving they were real/prescription) in the same interview as the "Matty B." comment. And my strange brain catalogs things like that. ;)

Now ask me to remember the groceries, and that's another story. But meh, there's an app for that. :P

LOL I totally understand! And yes, every list I need is on my phone, absolutely! But ask me WC plots/lines, etc. -- you know, the *important* things!! -- and I can usually at least get in the ballpark ;-)

And just to be even nerdier, I actually love that his glasses are "real", since I'm blind as a bat myself!!

During that online video q&a thing Matt and Tim did for USA around the time of the 1st season finale, Tim reads a question that was addressed to Matt and refers to him as "Matty," then stops himself and says something like, "she didn't say that, that's what I call him" - it's so cute!

I love that!! I love that nickname and I love that Tim calls him by it!! *squishes them both, even more than usual*

I bet they went into the locker room and made out.

I never clicked on a link from a tweet sent to my phone before IN MY LIFE! And then the picture! And the... what is that? A high school gymnasium? And I've never started writing RPF in my head so fast IN MY LIFE! You know Uncle Matty comes and watches Tim's kids' games. Then they all go out for ice creams and stuff.
