Well, while I plow through my insanely long questionnaire which is due at noon, I keep getting distracted by both pretty, pretty pics and sad, sad news...

I think there were a total of 12 shows cancelled last night and among them were 4 that were within my circle of interest: poor Second Chance, Castle, The Family and Agent Carter /o\ All gone with the wind now *le sigh*

I have no idea how The Family will end but if they don't make it an insanely stupid cliffhanger, it really is a show for which one season is enough, it's a great story and epic acting from Andrew McCarthy but it doesn't have all that much plot to keep dragging it on forever, hee :D

Castle, I think, has now run its course, it was a fun ride but it really feels like it was time for it to go. And once they add the last season to Netflix, it will be there to enjoy whenever we feel like doing a rewatch :D And man, there are so many other shows desperately in need of someone pulling the plug and yet they still exist as neverending stories, LOL.

Second Chance - aww, yeah, that one was kinda expected. I hope at least FOX releases it on blu-ray and puts some extras on it. I wonder what's next in store for Tim? I was hoping that his latest short film would at least get released on iTunes (while my capping capabilities are still there, lol) but even that seems to be stuck in limbo. It's like there's no catching a break in any direction, awwww *hugs him*

And my greatest sadness goes to Agent Carter *sniff* Why oh why? Just when things kinda got awesome, we got an evil cliffie and now there will be no canon resolution /o\ I'm gonna have to look for fics to give me some closure, LOL :D But whyyyyyy? Peggy!! And Jarvis!! Noooo! Awww... /o\ Come on, Netflix, do the right thing, damnit! :P

And to chase away all that sadness, have a Matty because at least in this department we have so, soooooooooooooo much to look forward to :D \o/

I don't follow the other shows, but I'm mostly relieved that Castle was cancelled. There is still going to be a bit of a sour taste given how they let Stana go, but at least ít's not going to get any worse.

TBH, I think they should have ended it with Season 7. The first six seasons were very strong, the seventh wasn't great but it was still decent, contrived angst plot aside (*cough* CIA kidnapping *cough*). The season 7 finale was also a good spot where to end things, with everyone in a happy place. But the moment they opened season 8 with the LokSat nonsence, I felt the show's time has come to an end.

On the upsite, at least is saves me the dilemma whether or not watch Season 9 :D

Yeah, I think I pretty much have the same feelings about it, it was simply time to pull the plug, I just hope the ending is gonna be decent, LOL.

And now you have to watch Agent Carter, only two short seasons, you can get through it in a jiffy... and believe me, you're gonna love it, especially when Bridget/Rachel/Rebecca makes her appearance, heee... she is sooo epic in this show :D And it's not really necessary to know stuff about the Marvel universe, they only make brief references to Captain America... just watch it for the girls :D

I am not surprised with Castle the last season has had its zing missin. With contract of Stella not being signed on it seemed inevetable.
Second Chance not sure if I would have watched it if Tim was not in it. Hope there are some annoucements on a new show soon.
I loved Agent Carter it was a fun series. I agree it was a cruel cliffhanger. I hate it when series/books/movies end with a jaw dropping cliff hanger I prefer a resolution of sorts. There are so many tv shows out there that should have ended many moons ago.

Yeah... I admit I had no idea of what was going on off screen with Castle, with a few small exceptions I don't dig into show so most of the time I'm clueless, LOL :D

And yeah, I wouldn't have watched Second Chance if it weren't for Tim... actually, I still need to watch it because I've only made caps so far, LOL. But hey, at least I will support it by buying the blu IF it comes out :D

Yes I am disappointed with the cancellation of Agent Carter as well. It was the only Marvel or superhero show on TV that I really enjoyed. I don't like any of the others. I thought the seasons were so well written and really well executed. I am going to miss this story!

I'm kinda mostly indifferent to the Marvel tv shows, I am watching them but unlike the movies, I know I will never rewatch any of them...though Daredevil s2 gave us so much whump, hee :D

But yeah, AC was so much fun, the characters were epic and the storylines awesome... le sigh

Yeah, it was to be expected that Second chance got cancelled. It had potential, but ...
At the moment I don' t follow anything, so I set my hopes on season 6 of AHS...

Sigh, I wish I wasn't watching so much stuff... but now at least I know what's been cut... I know I'm also gonna give up Legends of Tomorrow... and the only upcoming show I have on my list for now is The Last Tycoon... and AHS if Matty happens, lol :D

Kinda sad that Castle is cancelled, I could have taken another season of it myself. Second Chance isn't a big surprise, though sad for Tim. I think it could have gone another season, but there you go.

Very, very sad about Agent Carter - so not fair, leaving us on a cliffie like that!!! :(

Also very upset that they cancelled CSI: Cyber. It was the only CSI show that I liked, but then cyber crime and geek squads are my thing. I had a feeling from the way they ended the last season, but still, sad day :(

I'm sad about The Family in one way, because I was enjoying it, but I also didn't see how they could keep moving that story forward. There were a lot of twists that got resolved fairly quickly, and I couldn't figure out what they would do with a second season.

Yes, I completely agree, it really is a great show but at the same time it's not a plot that can be dragged on for another season or two, hehe... kinda like The Following was. They should have ended it after S1. They clearly had no solid idea what to do the following seasons, lol :D

I keep wanting them to put Castle on Netflix here, and it's *not* (I *think* you can get it on DVD, though). I've seen some of it, and liked what I saw, but I've been hoping to see it from the beginning :-P

But Agent Carter was just awesome forever, and I'm still clinging slightly to the hope that Netflix or something will pick it up :-P

And YAYAY for Matty!! He makes everything better! :-D

But hmmmmm, when I was watching House on Netflix, the kept recommending Castle, I was sure it was available, I could have sworn! I can't check it this moment but huh *needs to check* LOL

Hubby and I are re-watching "West Wing" these days when we can. But with him being out of town every other week for a while, it's *seriously* messing with our shows together! :-P

Maybe we'll get the early Castle DVDs from the library once we finish re-watching West Wing ;-)

I gotta admit I didn't watch any of those shows (and Second Chance is still on my watchlist XD), but I'm so sure that we will see one or another of the actors in new projects. As far as I know, Nathan has this crowd-funded project still going, Hayley is already up for a new show, and Bridget, Tim and Andrew will definitely find new works to show their acting chops as well.

Wanna know a positive side of all these cancellations? We can focus all our attention on the many many projects of Matty!! Gorgeous pics, saw the first one today on Twitter. Seriously, is there any color out there that he CAN'T wear???

Yeah, I have no doubt we will see them in new gigs, definitely keeping my fingers crossed for something decent and on a network that is not so fond of the bloody axe, lol :D

But GAAAAAAH, Matty!!! Seriously, I'm having serious trouble keeping up with all the PR he is doing, lol... apart from all those insanely gorgeous photos popping up every day, we're also getting all those vids!!! I'm currently making caps from the AOL Build live interview that I actually was able to watch LIVE, lol. And there was Good Morning America, then Live with Kelly and Michael and I think Colbert is still on today, lolol... geez, I think we need to compare pic folders because it's impossible to keep up with all this stuff :D

I think Castle has lost it's edge these days so I don't feel all that sad that it was cancelled in all honesty.

I am totally gutted that Agent Carter has been though. It's such a great show and has so much potential, they're insane!! I really hope it gets picked up by someone.

I don't watch any of the other shows to comment.

Maybe we can start a fan movement to persuade the showrunners on Agents of SHIELD to resolve the cliffhanger there - they've done flashbacks to Peggy before, and there's really no reason they couldn't find a way to tie whatever happened to Jack into a present-day storyline in some way, if they wanted to.
