ZOMG!

Matt's gonna be in the remake of Magnificent Seven! And Ronon Dex Jason Momoa's in it, too :D :D :D Now, this is such a classic, I'm not sure the remake can top it but putting these boys in the saddles definitely makes me a very happy fangirl. I will gladly just watch the relevant bits, hee :D

You can read more HERE.

It doesn't seem from the synopsis that he's gonna be one of the Seven, but please, someone tell me we'll get at least one scene on a horse? Pretty please? Matty riding a horse? Yes? Yes? Please?

Ooooh, my gosh, I LOVE IT!!! And *surely* we'll get to see him on a horse in some way or other! He's from TEXAS, he *needs* to ride! (And no, contrary to what a lot of people seem to think, we don't all ride nor own horses, and we surely don't always ride them to work ;-) And yes, I've actually either had those things mentioned to me or to people I know. o.O)

It's a wonderful place, overall, I swear. We've got lunatics for politicians, but the people are generally lovely and there's just such a wide variety of landscapes and sights to see and ...

Yeah. I might like it here just a bit (even if I do want to round up most of our politicians and taser them into oblivion :-P) ;-)

But they missed one thing: Texas *is* also flat, in places. But there's a stark, wonderful beauty there, too, IMO:

(Sorry, I'm terrible at remembering how to do links in comments. I keep swearing I'll *remember* sometime! :-P)

TOTALLY! And even around where he grew up (which is pretty close to where my dad grew up, too), it's still a pretty area ;-)

LOL It's a great place to visit, but then, so are plenty of other places, obviously. I'd seriously go to NYC every year if I could afford it, and I've only ever been twice! LOL!

YES!!!! Even though I honestly doesn't care about what role Matt plays, as long as it is a bigger one, I so would love to see him as the recast of "Ezra Standish", one of the characters from the TV show from the late 1990's. He would so fit in it.

And looks like he's finally getting into the real big movies!! Let's cross our fingers for a successful movie!!

Yes, I immediately noticed that "trying" to stand up thing, too. Eep!! I really want to see the Monty Clift movie. I know! We should totally clone him ... for a variety of reasons, obviously ;-)

That is quite true. He shouldn't be so talented at being whumped ;-) Although, I'm sure that stuff is fun to do as an actor. It just puts your fans' hearts through the wringer rather often!!

***EXACTLY**!!!!

[identity profile] dieastra.livejournal.com 2015-09-01 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh gosh, I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to Monty. As in, literally already being excited and jittery. Obviously they want to do it properly (as Matt said, either proper or not at all) but these things take time. Hurry up!

I am only glad that I only became a serious fan when TNH already was coming out. I could not have stood the suspense.

Ah well, in March we'll get the Horror Hotel and even though this is not something I'd normally watch, it should give us our weekly Matt fix and maybe get him some more fans attention as well. Apparently this is a HUGE thing.

[identity profile] dieastra.livejournal.com 2015-09-02 09:21 am (UTC)(link)
Why was I writing March? I meant fall, obviously.

Oh, I wouldn’t call his appearance in that other episode a waste. I had hoped for more screentime, true, but he did what he could with this role, and he was quite cute with his painting and wanting to go away and become famous. Reminded me of Neal a bit, no?

At least, since he will be in all episodes, we know he won’t die anytime soon!

[identity profile] dieastra.livejournal.com 2015-09-02 10:08 am (UTC)(link)
That is true. In all the interviews they said it would be something special, never have seen before - and actually I had hoped that Matt would be the bad guy, you know, give him something to do and stretch his acting muscles! I'd have loved to see this different side of him, getting angry.

I was a bit disappointed as well.

[identity profile] dieastra.livejournal.com 2015-09-02 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
He's a bad boy? I must have not read many spoilers yet, or scratched it from my mind ;) And I read he's also ill. So ill and bad, what a combination.

Well, I don't mind a little bit of whumping ;) (did you know that the term "whumping" was invented in the Stargate fandom? I had no idea?)

[identity profile] dieastra.livejournal.com 2015-09-02 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I'll keep the link and read it after having seen the first episode. I usually don't mind spoilers but want to go into this with an open mind, having no idea what to expect.

There recently were character descriptions. You probably only read Matt's ;) In the description of his mother it says that she cares for him because he's ill. Or something.

I am most intrigued by your socks comment, but haven't seen MMXXL yet either. I decided to not watch the German dubbing in cinemas but wait for the English DVD.

From what I gather, the concept of whumping was around before, of course, my Star Trek friend informed me that as far as Kirk was concerned, it was called "bonk" because in that one episode the children always yelled "Bonk bonk on the head". Nowadays it's usually called hurt/comfort or h/c, I just wonder what these people do when there is only hurt without the comfort... I like whumping better!

It was quite an eye opener to find that there was actually a term for it, stupid me thought I was the only one in the world LOL

[identity profile] dieastra.livejournal.com 2015-09-05 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, I broke down and read it ;) Obviously, at the moment the articles are mostly about Lady Gaga, as she is the big draw, but I'm sure that will change once it has started to air and people see the awesomeness that is Matt Bomer.

"I'm confident."
"Me too."
"Me three."

I have to say though that I like the look! Very classic look at the pictures and the costumes. And I really like Kathy Bates as well, so this may even be something I'll enjoy. We'll see.

Haha! Between you and Willie Garson, I'll never miss Matty news. <3

No apologies! Just wait till this summer! I'm going to be a posting machine! <3

Ooh, now there's two reasons to watch the movie!! I don't really remember the original movies all that much, though very much enjoyed the TV series when I watched it!!

I'm guessing the Ezra character won't be in the movie, though, as it's based on the original movie and Ezra was only in the TV show - or so I've been told. A shame, as I liked him!
