I figured - why not :) I know the author said that Matt would be her first pick to play Louis, but I'm very far from jumping on the message flood wagon for a repeat of the 50Shades fail, lol. This was simply a fun challenge :D

Oh.My.Dear.God! This is absolutely stunning!! And as much as I want to see Matty in a vampire role, I don't think that he's the perfect choice for Louis. I rather would love to see him as Lestat, who is (if I remember correctly from the movie) a master of seduction, and that's something that would fit Matty much more than Louis. Anyway, this artwork is nonetheless hauntingly beautiful!! Great work, BRAVA!!

PS: It's so funny to see an icon you made on someone else's LJ!!

elrhiarhodan recced this in her Fandom Snowflake today, and since I was a devoted reader of TVC back in the day, I had to come take a look.

I'm stunned by how much I WANT THIS TO BE REAL! I honestly hated the Tom Cruise version of the book (but then again, I can't stand TC, so was that any kind of surprise?), and thought that Brad Pitt (whom I also can't much stand) was woefully miscast as Louis. I hadn't thought of Matt, but honestly I think he'd be a wonderful Louis.

But your artwork! Apart from whether or not Matt would make a good Louis, I think you've captured the essence of the character, and more to the point, you've captured Matt so well that I can almost imagine this is a photo and not art. Well done!
